Cookie policy.
Most cookie policies are long because the list is long. Ours is short because the list is short: this website sets zero cookies, the app sets three strictly functional ones after you sign in, and the tracker we sell sets none at all. No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no “legitimate interest” toggle hiding 400 partners.
1. The short version
- remnet.io (this website): no cookies. None. That is why there is no cookie banner.
- The dashboard (after sign-in): three first-party, strictly functional cookies that make signing in work.
- The RemNet tracker (on customers’ websites): no cookies — two small identifiers in localStorage instead.
- Advertising or analytics cookies: zero, anywhere, including on our own site. We eat our own cooking.
2. This website: zero cookies
Browsing remnet.io sets no cookies and loads no third-party analytics, fonts, or embeds that would set their own. Consent banners exist to ask permission for tracking; since there is nothing to ask permission for, there is no banner. If you ever see a cookie appear on a page of this site, that is a bug — please tell us at info@remnet.io.
3. The app: three functional cookies
When you sign in to the RemNet dashboard, these first-party cookies are set. They are strictly necessary for the sign-in feature you asked for, so no consent is required for them under EU rules — but they are still yours to know about:

The dashboard also uses the browser’s localStorage (not a cookie) to remember interface preferences such as your light/dark theme. That data never leaves your browser.
4. The tracker on customers’ sites
The analytics tracker RemNet provides to its customers sets no cookies. It stores two random identifiers in the browser’s localStorage, scoped to the site you are visiting (first-party only):

These IDs are random UUIDs — not derived from your device, not usable across different websites, not linked to your name, e-mail, or IP address (which is never stored with events). What the tracker records is detailed in the privacy policy, section 5.
Each website operator remains responsible for their own storage disclosures to their visitors; this section is written so they can link to it.
5. Third parties
Today: none. No page of remnet.io sets or allows third-party cookies. Paid-plan charges are approved and processed by Shopify inside your Shopify admin (on Shopify’s own pages) — remnet.io itself sets no third-party cookies for billing.
6. Managing cookies & storage
Your browser can inspect, block, or delete cookies and localStorage per site (usually under Settings → Privacy). Fair warning about the consequences here:
- deleting
mt_sessionsigns you out; - deleting
mt_trustedmeans entering a 2FA code next sign-in; - blocking localStorage on a site that uses the tracker simply makes your visits look like first visits — the tracker is built to degrade gracefully, and the page keeps working.
