A home screen with only your apps
Vacation Mode becomes your launcher and shows the apps you chose. Behind them you can keep a flat colour, your own wallpaper or a photo from your gallery.
Notifications off, not just quiet
Every notification is silenced and, if you want, kept out of the notification shade too. Alarms and media keep working.
Calls declined without ringing
Incoming calls are rejected silently and stay in your call log, so you can see who tried while you were away.
Exceptions for emergencies
Contacts you starred always ring through. So does anyone who calls twice within 15 minutes.
Borrow an app
Need your messenger for a moment? Borrow it for 5 to 60 minutes. It appears with a countdown and disappears again by itself.
One tap back
Ending a vacation restores your own launcher, your notifications and your exact Do Not Disturb settings.
What it looks like.
Nothing leaves your phone.
Vacation Mode does not request the internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your settings and your background photo stay on the device.

Will my alarm still go off?
Yes. Alarms and media are deliberately left alone, so your morning flight is safe, your music keeps playing and navigation keeps talking.
What if there is a real emergency?
Two exceptions are on by default. Contacts you starred as favourites always ring through, and anyone who calls twice within 15 minutes gets through as well. Everyone else waits until you are back.
What do callers hear?
Their call is declined without your phone ringing. The call stays in your call log, so you can see who tried.
Do my messages get deleted?
No. Texts and app messages arrive silently and are waiting for you when you choose to look.
What happens when I end my vacation?
One tap restores your usual home screen, your notifications and the exact Do Not Disturb configuration you had before. There is nothing to set up again.
Is this a parental control or app blocker?
No. It hides and silences rather than locks, and you can switch it off at any time. It is a tool for adults who want their attention back, not a lock for someone else's phone.
